What's it all about?

Discover the Spring Festival

Ludlow Spring Festival is a beer festival and so much more, all within the spectacular walls of Ludlow Castle. Discover award-winning local ales, refreshing ciders, liqueurs, local wines, and of course alcohol-free options. It blends the best in regional beer, food, music, plus a spectacular display of classic cars in the Marches Transport Festival.

Discovering the flavours and fun at the spring festival

Ludlow Spring Festival is home to the SIBA Wales and West Beer Competition, where the best artisan brewers from Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and all counties within Wales battle it out - it's the biggest beer festival in the area. Competition is fierce, with a huge range of beers across 24 categories in separate cask and keg competitions. Once the judging is complete, we throw open the doors of the Festival Pub for you to sample them all for yourself. Stock up on your beer tokens, meet the brewers and enjoy the ales!

A range of artisan food producers is also on hand all weekend, providing opportunity to stock up on your favourite products ahead of the The Festival in September. Take time to talk to producers, hear their stories. To keep you fuelled throughout the weekend there will also be a delicious selection of festival food from our tasty vendors, from pizza to pancakes, grass-fed beef to vegetarian and globally inspired street food.

Beer, burgers, motors and more

The Festival Pub is the beating heart of Spring Festival in more ways than one – we put on a spectacular line-up of live bands and musicians to have you rocking the weekend away. From jazz and blues to rock n roll, folk and latin, there’s something for everyone and the atmosphere is electric as day turns to night.

The Marches Transport Festival has become synonymous with the Spring Festival weekend. The exhibition of classic cars from pre-war gems right through to modern day classics of the 70s and 80s is a sight to behold, especially in the unique setting of the medieval castle ruins.

Bring the whole family along and keep little ones busy enjoying our kid’s activities. Let them be wowed by circus performances, get hands on in craft workshops and indulge in festival fun with music, mayhem and more.
